Electronic Classroom

Home

During the ECSU Winter Conference, Claudia Twiford, Director of Instructional Technology in the School of Education & Psychology provided staff development on the integration of curriculum with the new technology equipment in the new "Electronic Classroom."  Through a grant, ECSU was able to setup one of their teacher education classrooms as an "Electronic Classroom" which will enhance the curriculum, and keep ECSU on the cutting edge of technology.  Some of the state of the art technology that faculty, staff, and students will have access to are:

a Computerized Smart Board

a Video Projector

a Networked Computer with Internet Access

a Quick Cam

a Sony 3-D Display Board

a Laser Disk Player

a TV/VCR

Dr. Cherry, Dean of the School of Education & Psychology, (shown above) emphasizes to faculty the importance of being information technology users, seekers, analyzers, and evaluators as he encourages all faculty, staff & students to utilize the new "Electronic Classroom."

A recent addition to the School of Education & Psychology is an integrated rear projection smartboard.  It is mobile and can be used in McLendon Hall classrooms by students and faculty.
