The portfolio begins in the first professional
education course, EDUC 201-Foundations
of Education. Technology competencies for the portfolio begin in EDUC 203-Introduction to Computer
Instructional Technology.
Assignments and activities in each professional
education course contribute to artifacts which may be included in the Program
Portfolio.
Assignments and activities in specialty area courses
are sources of artifacts which may be included in the Program Portfolio.
The Program Portfolio is presented at the end
of the student teaching/internship experience.
It is based upon national standards (INTASC),
state competencies (NCDPI Guidelines & Competencies including basic
and advanced technology competencies), and program framework (Teacher
As Decision Maker).
