The Maynard Scholars Program is an intervention effort to ensure student success at  Elizabeth City State University.  Each year, faculty identify, recruit, and enroll qualifying second semester freshmen interested in becoming a part of the program.  Those students will participate in seminars, educational/cultural field trips, and be mentored by a faculty member.  The program is specifically designed to provide opportunities for intellectual, academic, and social development to produce a more rounded student.
