Tuition Schedule -
Northeastern North Carolina
Transition To Teaching
Some participants are getting near the maximum allowed amount especially
those who began the first semester of the project, Spring, 2003. As you were
informed previously, it is important to complete your course work in a timely
fashion. The TTT project is slated to end Fall 2008. You will need to have
completed your course work (including student teaching) by this time.
Some participants will have exhausted all funds prior to the ending of the
project. The Advisory Board came up with a few suggestions for those who have
depleted or are near depleting their funds.
- The teacher assistant scholarship is available for those working in the
school system as teacher assistants. Those interested must apply. There is a
deadline. For more information go to the North Carolina Department of Public
Instruction website.
- If you are employed in the school system you may be eligible to take
courses through the North Carolina Consortium. Courses through the Consortium
are offered at a much lower cost. Contact your personnel director for more
information or check online.
- Check for other educational stipend offers or scholarships such as the
Prospective Teacher Scholarship on the North Carolina Department of Public
Instruction website.
PIN NUMBERS/ADVISORS
PIN numbers sometimes change. Each student is
required to meet with their advisor to register. If you are at a distance, this
may be worked out via email or telephone.
Participants may not be eligible for NNCTTTP
Funds if:
Possible reasons:
Student received an F, FA, W, WD, WP, WF or a "D"
in a course that requires a "C" or better.
Student withdrew after the drop/add period.
Student received an "I" that has converted to an
"F".
Student is in default on a student loan.
A voucher was not submitted.
Important Note:
Participants cannot pay balances on the day of
pre-registration. Balances will need to be paid prior to pre-registering.
Please contact the NNCTTTP office.
General Information for Current Students!!!
- Group mailings are no longer sent.
Letters will be mailed to individuals as necessary. Information regarding NNCTTTP must be accessed through our web page at
http://tep.ecsu.edu/nnc_transition_to_teaching.htm This page will contain
information regarding pre-registration, registration, changes or additions to NNCTTTP, and other general information. Also, forms may be posted for you to
download and mail or bring to the NNCTTTP office. An email will be
sent when
new information has been posted. I would suggest you check the page at least
two to three times per week. Please make sure Transition to Teaching has your current email
address.
- PIN numbers change yearly. Your PIN number
must be given to you by your advisor.
- If you registered for a class listed as TBA, please contact the Department listed for information on
time/day.
- If you decide to drop a course after
the drop/add period, you must drop the course officially through the
Registrar’s Office (there is a $5.00 fee). The drop/add period usually ends after
the first week of classes. If you decide to stop attending classes or
you never attended, you are still responsible for dropping the course.
- When changing an "I" grade, you must make
arrangements with the professor to complete the required work and submit it
for the change. If the "I" grade is not changed, it automatically
converts to an "F".
- Inform the NNCTTTP office if you have
completed your program of study.
- If you are Licensure Only and Not seeking an
Alternative License, you must be admitted into the Teacher Education
program at ECSU. Contact the NNCTTTP Office or the Office of Teacher Education
for additional information.
- Health Services requires that if you are taking 4 or more
credit hours on campus, you are required to complete and submit a Health
Form. You will not be allowed to register for classes if your health record
is not received in the Health Services Office by the day of registration. If
you have questions concerning your Health Form you may call 252.335.3267.
