![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() Elizabeth City State University School of Education in partnership with the community colleges listed below offers Bachelor Degree progrms within students' communities. Rural areas of eastern North Carolina need quality teachers. Our community college/university partnerships will provide opportunities for students to complete teaching degrees without leaving home. Students will complete the first two years of general studies coursework at their respective community college and will be eligible for and Associate in Arts Degree in Pre-Elementary Education. ![]() College of the Albemarle-Dare, Edenton, Elizabeth City, Halifax Community College, Martin Community College and Roanoke Chowan Community College. ![]() Teacher licensure and lateral entry options will be available through our partnership for those who already have completed bachelor's degrees so they are eligible to become licensed teachers. ![]() Our Teacher Preparation Partnership students are teacher assistants/staff employed in public schools who are completing their degrees/licenure, recent high school graduates, and nontraditional adult students who are returning to college for employment opportunities or transition to a new career. There are financial incentives to fund the education and expenses of prospective teachers, especially if GPA is > 2.5 and financial need exists.
