| REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION |
|
- Undergraduate GPA of 2.50 or better.
- Have 25 hours of Early Field Experience in an approved public school.
- *Take and pass PRAXIS I: PPST/CBT.
individuals with a total SAT score of 1100 are exempt from PRAXIS I;

-individuals with a total score of less than 1100, but a score of at least 550 on the Verbal test are exempt from the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) in Reading and Writing;
- individuals with a total SAT score of less than 1100, but score of at least 550 on the Math test are exempt from the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) in Mathematics;

individuals with a with composite ACT score of 24 are exempt from PRAXIS I;
-individuals with a composite ACT score of less than 24, but a score of at least 24 on the English test are exempt from the Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST) in Reading and Writing;
- individuals with a total SAT score of less than 1100, but score of at least 24 on the Math test are exempt from the Pre-Pa with composite ACT score of 24 Mathematics;
*Licensure-only students do not have to take PPST/CBT

4. Submit to the Office of Teacher Education all forms for admittance to the program (Room 158 Griffin Hall)
- Application for Admission into the TEP
- Candidate for Professional Licensure (CPL Profile)
- Departmental Recommendation for Admission to TEP
- Character & Personality Rating Scale (three)
- Copy of PRAXIS I, SAT, or ACT scores
- Copy of transcript

For a student who does not hold a Bachelor's Degree, the Praxis I: PPST/CBT shall be taken and passed before a studnet can be admitted formally into the Teacher Education Program.
