2 + 2 Teacher Prep Recruiters Begin . . .The School of Education and Psychology welcomes Mary Jo Windley of Currituck, NC and Milton Bond of Winterville, NC as the new 2 + 2 Teacher Preparation Recruiters. Mary Jo Forehand Windley is a native of Currituck County with 10+ years experience in Career Technical Education at Currituck County High School where she taught business and computer applications courses. She earned an BSBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management from East Carolina University and later completed a second major/teaching credentials from Elizabeth City State University. Her professional accomplishments include being a graduate of the Business Education Leadership Academy (1999) sponsored by NC Dept. of Public Instruction and co-author of the 2000 Computer Applications I curriculum as a NC Dept. of Public Instruction project. She also completed a Networking Essentials course (1999), became IC3 certified (2003), was CCHS Teacher of the Year 2003-2004, and achieved National Board Certification (2004). The M.Ed. degree with a concentration in Instructional Technology was awarded by Troy University in December 2006. Professional affiliations include the North Carolina Association of Educators/NEA, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. of Elizabeth City State University, and the Shawboro Ruritans Club. Mr. Milton Bond is a native of Bertie County with seven years of teaching experience. He is a graduate of Elizabeth City State University. As a member of the Southwestern Middle School faculty in Bertie County, he has been actively involved as a classroom teacher and Instructional Consultant. He has recently graduated with a master's degree in Educational Administration from East Carolina University. He plans to continue his education in the future in achieving a doctorate degree in Higher Education Administration.
